Rugby Ski Club is a members' lodge on the southern side of Perisher Valley — one of a handful of heritage-listed buildings in the Park, and a place to ski from dawn to dusk and make friendships that last a lifetime.
1962
The Rugby Ski Club was established in 1962 by a small group of keen skiers associated with the NSW Rugby Union Club and the Gordon Rugby Club. A leasehold became available, and the original lodge was built by hand — a fine example of early-sixties alpine architecture that remains, today, one of a handful of Perisher Valley lodges with heritage listing.
The lodge has been thoughtfully upgraded many times. It now sleeps 14 with all the modern conveniences, while the integrity of the original design is carefully preserved.
“A place to immerse yourself in the alpine environment, ski from dawn to dusk, take a bushwalk in summer, and make friendships that last a lifetime.”
Sleeps fourteen across comfortable rooms. Open year-round. Walking distance to the lifts when the snow falls, and to the bushwalking tracks when it doesn't.
Comfortable rooms across the lodge, configured for groups, couples and solo travellers.
Heated throughout, with a well-appointed kitchen, dining and shared living spaces.
One of a handful of Perisher lodges retaining its original 1960s alpine design integrity.
Skiing in winter, bushwalking in summer — the lodge is open across all four seasons.
Tucked into Kosciuszko National Park in the New South Wales Snowy Mountains. A short walk from lifts in winter; a deep alpine quiet in summer.
